This role will be reporting into Managing Director, North Asia based in Hong Kong office.

Job Description

  • Overall management of the General Manager in respect to:
    • Management of staff: Plan and steer resources and capacities efficiently for all internal departments including Project, Service Delivery, Business Development, Finance and in line with business pipeline and requirements to ensure hire sufficient team and resources locally
    • Legal compliance: Ensure the business/service model execution locally is in line with the law and regulation of Taiwan
    • Inform staff appropriately and transparently regarding country and company strategy and policy
    • Provide guidance to staff with regard to performance expected and establish smart targets and key performance indicators in line with the district and company strategy
    • Conduct regular performance reviews together with functional leaders in order to evaluate performance and results, recognize strengths and weaknesses among staff members and initiate training measures to support skills development
    • Coach and mentor potential/future talent within the country team and plan succession within the district
    • Promote cross-functional cooperation and information flow with other department/country
  • Strategic Business Development
    • Active sales development of top customers within Taiwan country based on our available products including Payroll outsourcing Service, HRMS Solutions and other HR Consultancy Service
    • Continuously analyze competitor activities and local industry trends and attend local industryrelated functions
    • Develop business plan for the country in conjunction with the team and provide prepared information for investment decisions to management
    • Positively contribute towards global company initiatives, support implementation and lead required change management initiatives
    • Triple up the market shares in short period of time
  • HR Consultancy
    • Liaise with clients to formulate HR strategic and practical plans to address human resource matters including but not limited to
    • Provide guidance and ensure client’s HR policies and practices are fully complied with local labour law and other related rules and regulations
    • Conduct HR related analysis, develop reports and present insights to clients where it is necessary
  • Develop and control budget
    •  Plan and forecast annual budget using established indicators and tools appropriately
    • Review and monitor budget against country’s P&L, create action plan in case of deviation
    • Perform vendor price review on local suppliers, striving to reduce cost year on year
    • Ensure timely closing of files and delivery of all accounting relevant information to finance department
    • Manage profitability of files and look at bottom-line results effects
    • Support local specific reporting requests
  • You are expected to have an excellent knowledge of all HR/Technology business processes combined with strategic thinking and good managerial skills. It is also essential that you conduct yourself with high integrity and good interpersonal skills.
    • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from reputable university
    • 15 years of working experience in HR/Business Technology leadership role, at least 8 years in senior management position in relevant industries
    • Hands-on management style is a must
    • Strong commercial sense, business selling, leadership and maturity
    • Excellent interpersonal and functional technical skills
    • Good in English and Mandarin, both in verbal and written
