About the Job

The Buyer – Taiwan is a critical role within the Materials Management Team. The primary objective is to execute tactical purchasing tasks accurately and timely in order to support Just-In-Time Delivery of electrical parts and components. This will help ensure that we are minimizing our inventory holding cost while preventing inventory stock outs resulting in production line downtime and ultimately a poor Customer Experience.

Job Duties

  • Align performance to KPI goals individually and the Materials Management Team
  • Assist in achieving an agile and robust approved vendor list focused on quality, on-time delivery and cost for electronic parts and components
  • Procure electronic parts and components timely to eliminate stock outs while being fiscally conservative and minimizing inventory value
  • Interface with Product Development Team to support phase in/phase out of parts and components for new and revised product releases
  • Develop deep supply chain knowledge for hard to find parts and components; and make procure proposals accordingly
  • Maintain accurate Scheduled Delivery Dates and push or pull orders based on demand
  • Maintain part and supplier data within ERP system (e.g. Supplier Contacts, Lead-Times, Min/Max/Mults, HTS Codes, Payment Terms, Origin, etc)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  •  1+ years of experience in similar role within electronics industry
  • Ability to work accurately within a fast paced environment
  • Strong desire and interest in Supply Chain Management

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Logistics or related field referred
