Role
As a Software QA Engineer at Tektome, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our software products. Your goal will be to identify, analyze, and rectify any issues before they reach the end-user, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience. Not only will you set up automation tests for UI/UX but also the backend. You will work alongside a bilingual prompt engineer to build regression based performance tests for our backend services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement testing strategies that encompass all stages of the development cycle, from initial design to final release
- Conduct hands-on testing with a focus on breaking the application to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Analyze performance of our AI models to derive meaningful insights, identifying trends and patterns that could indicate underlying issues
- Perform both automated and manual testing, including functional, system, and regression testing
- Workclosely with the engineering team, providing them with detailed reports and recommendations based on test analyses
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests, including Selenium-type tests, to streamline and enhance the testing process
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of new testing methodologies and tools
- Serveasthe main point of contact for all QA-related activities, ensuring effective communication between the outsourced testing teams and internal stakeholders
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in one relevant programing language such as Java, Javascript, Python, C#, or Ruby in order to write and execute test scripts, automate testing processes, and debug issues
- Proven experience in a QA role, with a strong background in software testing and quality assurance
- Experience in QA methodology and tools
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Excellent communication skills
- Business level English
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud and web based technologies from a development perspective
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
- Business level Japanese
